Forest Green 2-3 Burton Albion

A brace from striker Shaun Harrad inspired Burton Albion to a 3-2 win over struggling Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn.

Andrew Mangan handed the hosts an early lead with a seventh-minute shot, but it was the Brewers forward who stole the first-half show.

He pulled a goal back in the 21st minute with a fine shot and then fired the visitors in front with a header six minutes later.

After the half-time interval, Darren Jones fouled Harrad in the box and Greg Pearson netted the resultant 58th-minute penalty.

But the hosts fought back and Jonathan Smith's header on the 69-minute mark gave Rovers restored hope.

However, the home side failed to pull another goal back and Albion walked away with all the spoils.

The league-leaders now go three points clear at the top of the table.
