Kidderminster 2-1 Forest Green

Kidderminster Harriers kept their play-off hopes alive with a 2-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers at Aggborough on Saturday.

Brian Smikle put the home side in front early on before Jonathan Smith levelled things up for Rovers, however, Damian Spencer's injury-time goal saw the Harriers walk away with all three points.

Smikle opened the scoring in the 12th minute after a good opening spell from the home side when he lost his marker at the back post and headed home from a Marc Goodfellow cross.

Steve Burr's charges dominated the first-half and should have had a two or three goal lead at the break, but Robbie Matthews and John Finnigan both failed to capitalise on fantastic opportunities.

Rovers had a great chance to equalise shortly after the interval when Isaiah Rankin headed over the bar after latching onto Curtis McDonald's free-kick.

But the home side were made to pay for their missed chances on the hour-mark when Smith headed home a McDonald cross to even things up.

However, It was heartbreak for Dave Hockaday's troops when Martin Riley threaded through a pass to Spencer and he slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the net to snatch victory for Harriers.

Kidderminster Harriers bookings: None
