Tim Deasy
Forest Green dropped two points at home against Gateshead after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at The New Lawn.
Ian Herring was guilty of missing a late penalty which would have sealed the points on the day but Gateshead goalkeeper Tim Deasy was equal to his effort and salvaged a point for the visitors.
The home side had taken the lead through Reece Styche in the 10th minute when he finished neatly from Lee Fowler's precise pass.
Deasy was in determined mood on the day and denied James Norwood and Styche before half-time, keeping his side in the game.
Gateshead's Gary Mulligan levelled matters in the 66th minute by heading in Craig Baxter's cross from close range before the Tynesiders number one's heroics in the closing stages.
Rovers goalscorer Styche was fouled in the area by Ben Clark but Deasy was not to be beaten and dived to his right to parry Herring's spot-kick.
