Peter Taylor's Stevenage Borough lost ground on the chasing pack after being held to a goalless draw by Grays Athletic at Broadhall Way.
Boro still find themselves in a play-off spot but trail league leaders Aldershot Town by 13 points.
The game itself was quite an evenly balanced affair but Stevenage boss Taylor will undoubtedly be disappointed that his side failed to make their home advantage count.
Grays, meanwhile, will not be too disappointed with this result and it gives manager and chairman Mick Woodward a decent result for his first game in charge.
Stevenage bookings: Moore 56, Vincenti 87.
Grays bookings: Day 71, Sambrook 82.
Ref: C Sarginson.
