Stevenage swoop for Sills

Blue Square Premier outfit Stevenage Borough have confirmed the signing of striker Tim Sills from League Two outfit Torquay United for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old forward joins Graham Westley's league leaders on an 18 month contract, with the option to extend the deal at a later stage.

Sills has found the back of the net four times for the Gulls this season and has been their top scorer for the past two seasons.

A statement on the Torquay's official website reads:

"There will be many memorable moments connected to Tim's time at Plainmoor, not least United's second goal against Cambridge in the play-off final last May and there have been countless occasions over the last two and a half seasons where Tim stood up to be counted and the path to a return to League 2 was paved with his goals, hard work and committed attitude leading United's forward line.

"Tim Sills has earned his place in the pages of United's history and we all wish him well for the future."

Certainly one of the better grounds in the League. On one side is the all seated covered Main Stand, which looks quite impressive.
