Craig Dobson
Stevenage clawed their way back from an early own goal to beat visitors Altrincham and go fourth on the Blue Square Premier table.
Luke Oliver misjudged a clearance in the 16th minute and had to watch in horror as the ball trickled into his own net, putting Altrincham a goal up against the run of play.
The home side went on the attack and in the 28th minute their resilience paid off when Craig Dobson had a shot blocked by Altrincham keeper Darren Tinson only to pounce on the rebound and slot home from six yards.
Dobson proved the hero of the evening as he added the winner in the second half.
This time he latched onto a long pass from Zoltan Liptak, controlled the ball well and drilled home from 12 yards out.
The result sees Stevenage move into the play-off positions, although they'll be well aware that there's a long season lying ahead.
