Altrincham's fight against relegation was given a shot in the arm as Warren Peyton's winner saw them move out of the bottom four on the Blue Square Premier table.
The game was played in harsh conditions, at one point being subjected to a 15-minute suspensions as a lightning storm ravaged the ground.
Kidderminster drew first blood shortly after the break as Justin Richards fed Iyseden Christie slotted home calmly from 12 yards out.
But Cahill drove home James Jennings' cross to equalise, then turned provider as his free kick found Peyton who ensured the home side garnered all three-points.
Altrincham bookings: King, Shotton, O'Neill.
Kidderminster bookings: Blackwood.
Attendance: 788.
Referee: R Metcalfe (Lancashire).
