Altrincham 2-3 Crawley

Crawley Town did enough to collect all three points against 10-man Altrincham at Moss Lane on Tuesday evening.

The first half was fairly uneventful with neither of the two sides able to fashion an opener and Altrincham's Joe O'Neill did his no favours when he picked up a second yellow card just before the break.

The Red Devils made their numerical advantage count and broke the deadlock in the 57th minute when Jon-Paul Pittman sent a 20-yard effort into the bottom-left corner.

Crawley doubled their tally in the 71st minute thanks to Tyrone Thompson before Altrincham's Colin Little pulled one back for his team three minutes later.

However, Thomas Pinault restored Crawley's two-goal advantage in the 83rd minute with a well struck shot from the right-hand channel.

Little popped up again in injury time to snatch his second goal of the evening but it was not enough as the visitors held on for the win.
