Glyn Garner
Grays Athletic finally ended their losing run after drawing 1-1 with Altringham in Saturday's Blue Square Premier clash.
Grays are still highly unlikely to survive the drop this season but nevertheless needed the result to restore their fragile confidence.
The first real moments of the match came when Duran Reynolds hit the crossbar with a header and Alex Rhodes failed to convert another chance.
After a goalless first half, Grays looked on their way to securing an elusive three points at Moss Lane when Alsseny Cissoko converted Wayne Gray's left-wing cross to give the visitors a 61st-minute lead.
But Altrincham top scorer Chris Senior combined with Nicky Clee 12 minutes later to bag his 14th league goal of the season to restore parity against the run of play.
Grays goalkeeper Glyn Garner then pulled off two outstanding saves to keep his side in the match, eventually earning the title of man of the match.
The visitors also had on-loan Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Harlee Dean sent off for a second bookable offence close to the final whistle.
The point does little for Grays but puts a dent in Altrincham's hopes of finishing the season in the play-off places.
