Northwich 2-2 Halifax

A frantic first-half between Northwich Victoria and Halifax Town made up for a dire second-half as the two team's shared the points at Victoria Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors took a fourth-minute lead through Craig Nelthorpe, but the home side wasted no time in replying when Aaron Burns found the net ten-minutes later.

Jon Shaw regained the lead for the visitors with a sublime finish in the 36th minute, but once again the home side bounced straight back through Burns.

The match took a turn for the worse with seconds remaining of the first-half when Nathan Joynes was dismissed for a horror tackle on Michael Welch.

The second-half seemed to be affected by the dismissal as both side's could not find the necessary quality in front of goal that had come to them so easily in the opening half.
