Lee Steele
Northwich Victoria saw off the challenge of Crawley Town with a thoroughly professional performance at the Victoria Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The first-half was all the home side as they dominated all aspects of the game with impressive displays in both defence and attack. But the goals did not come for them in the first period.
That changed, however, in the space of just three minutes in the second-half.
Darryn Stamp grabbed the first on 52 minutes thanks to a Jamie Mullan cross, and Lee Steele made it 2-0 in the 54th minute when he prodded home a Stamp pass.
Those two goals seemed to knock the stuffing out of the visitors as the home side continued to control the game as they cruised to victory.
