Kettering boss Mark Cooper
Kettering Town saw their play-off aspirations take a knock at Victoria Stadium after being held to goalless draw by relegation-threatened Northwich Victoria on Tuesday night.
The hosts gave a good account of themselves following the resignation of manager Steve King over the weekend.
In fact, Northwich supporters will argue that their side deserved to get at least a point from the game after coming close to breaking the deadlock on a number of occasions.
Vics striker Matthew Bailey had a great chance to put his side ahead in the 75th minute but his header from inside the area went wide of the left-hand post.
They had another chance to go ahead just one minute later but midfielder Joel Byrom's effort from 35 yards strayed wide of the target.
