Dean Moxey

Exeter 4-1 Stafford

Exeter City booked their place in the play-offs thanks to Dean Moxey's superb hat-trick against relegated Stafford Rangers on Tuesday night.

Moxey got his side off to the perfect start when he netted with an 18-yard effort just 23 seconds after kick off.

The Exeter youth scheme product was on target again in the 34th minute with Adam Stansfield setting him up with an excellent cross from the right channel.

The home side further extended their lead just after the restart and it was no surprise to see Moxey finish off Ryan Harley's free kick at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.

Paul Tisdale's men were cruising and put the final nail in the coffin in the 54th minute thanks to Ben Watson.

Ishmael Reid pulled one back for the Rangers in injury time but it was nothing more than a consolation.
