Steve Bull
Steve Bull has challenged his Stafford Rangers charges to prove they are worth a place in his squad during the pre-season friendly against Halesowen on Wednesday.
Boro' opened their pre-season friendly account against Rocester last week and suffered a 1-0 defeat.
Bull is hoping for an improved performance at the Grove and the mentor is urging his charges to play for their places in the encounter.
He told The Express & Star: "Rocester was mainly a fitness exercise and I want the players to prove their fitness again to me tonight.
"Nonetheless, it is time players started proving to me that they are worth a place. While most players only got a half last time, the starting line-up will get at least 70 minutes this time out.
"I want a good performance from the boys tonight against what is likely to be a strong Halesowen side. I will take a lot from what they show me."
Meanwhile, Bull also confirmed he has scheduled a friendly against Midland Combination side Heath Hayes on Monday.
"I have been planning to do this for a week, so I am glad Heath Hayes are able to help us with this, " he added.
"This gives the chance to look at the trialists we have and gives the fringe members of the squad a chance to put themselves into my thoughts."
