Steve Fallon's Histon picked up all three points against Droylsden at Market Street on Saturday afternoon despite being reduced to ten men.
The first half ended goalless despite both sides creating a host of chances to break the deadlock.
Histon striker Cliff Akurang did his side's chances no favours when he picked up a straight red for a foul on Jody Banim in the 61st minute.
However, the Stutes continued to push for an opening and Nathaniel Knight-Percival finally put them ahead with a headed goal in the 71st minute.
The visitors were awarded a penalty in the 84th minute when Droylsden's Liam Murray was adjudged to have fouled Knight-Percival in the penalty area.
Jamie Barker stepped up to take the resulting spot kick but he blasted his shot wide of the right-hand post.
