Bertram: Netted a hat-trick

Droylsden 5-3 Forest Green

Football fans were treated to a feast of goals on Saturday afternoon as Droylsden eventually came out on top against Forest Green Rovers at the Butchers Arms.

The visitors drew first blood after just six minutes thanks to Danny Bertram but Droylsden drew level two minutes later when Jamie McGuire converted a Jody Banim cross at the centre of the penalty area.

The Bloods claimed the lead in the 16th minute through a Chris Denham effort only for Bertram to restore parity four minutes later.

Bertram completed his hat-trick just before the half-time whistle with a well-placed header from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

The second half was Forest Green though, as goals from Jamie McGuire, Steve Daly and Chris Denham sealed a memorable comeback over high-flying Forest Green.
