The Minstermen maintained their recent run of fine form with a fairly comfortable win over Droylsden at KitKat Crescent on Boxing Day.
The visitors drew first blood after just five minutes when Ashley Burberry latched onto a Chris Denham through ball and slotted home from six yards out.
York earned themselves a 22nd minute penalty when Droylsden's Lee Roche was adjudged to have fouled Martyn Woolford in the area.
Craig Farrell stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and made no mistake, sending the ball into the bottom-right of goal.
The winning goal came in the 53rd minute when Woolford floated in an inviting cross from the right wing and Darren Kelly met it with a superb header at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.
York bookings: Elliott 42, Brodie 89, Woolford 90
Droylsden bookings: None
