Histon 2-0 Droylsden

Histon narrowly missed out on a highly sought-after play-off berth recently but that didn't deter them from the task at hand on Saturday afternoon.

The Stutes broke the deadlock after the 37 minutes when Daniel Wright drilled a right-footed effort into the bottom-left corner from the left-hand channel.

Wright was the man of the hour as he netted Histon's second goal in the 76th minute with a well-placed header from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

After this latest result, Droylsden now find themselves second from bottom on the Blue square Premier table with a disappointing total of 23 points from 44 games.
