Tamworth will be looking to return to the goalscoring trail when play-off hopefuls Kettering Town visit the Lamb Ground on New Year's Day.
Lambs boss Gary Mills will have to make do without the services of skipper Chris Smith after the defender picked up a fifth booking against Forest Green on Monday afternoon.
Neil MacKenzie is pushing for a start after suffering a knock in the warm up prior to the Forest Green Rovers match.
Mills told the club's official website: "Neil was hit by a ball in the warm up which knocked him for six.
"He had double vision and was really struggling which was the reason he didn't start."
Central midfielder Matthew Richards could also play a part in the fixture after joining the club on non-contract terms this week.
Kettering Town have picked up just one point from their last three league fixtures and will be keen to return to winning ways.
The Poppies were edged out by Histon on Boxing Day and now have Luton and Rushden breathing down their necks in the league standings.
