Grays Athletic and Barrow shared six goals between them as their encounter at the New Recreation Ground ended in a 3-3 draw on Saturday afternoon.
Grays took an early lead when Folawiyo Onibuje found the back of the net in the 14th minute.
The home side looked good value for their lead until the visitors hit back with two goals in quick succession.
Jon Shaw equalised after 33 minutes before Malvin Kanara put the visiting outfit into the lead five minutes later.
That second goal came as a huge blow to Grays as they also had Billy Crowther sent off in the build up for a second bookable offence.
Ten-man Grays hit back strongly in the second period and a brace from Jamie Slabber looked to have sealed the most unlikely of come-from-behind victories for Grays.
However, Paul Jones equalised with a few minutes left on the clock to make it 3-3 and in the process hand each side a share of the spoils.
Grays bookings: Bunce, Crowther, Onibuje, Logombe
Sent off: Crowther
Barrow bookings: Jones
