Barrow AFC failed to make their home advantage count on Saturday afternoon as they were held to a stalemate by Hayes & Yeading at Holker Street.
Barrow joint-managers Darren Sheridan and David Bayliss will have every reason to be unhappy with their side's performance after dominating possession throughout.
The visitors looked stronger in the first half and had a number of opportunities to claim the lead with James Mulley twice coming close in the last five minutes.
Barrow introduced three substitutes after the half-time break and it had the desired effect as Bluebirds top scorer Jason Walker broke the deadlock after being on the pitch for just six minutes.
Walker collected an inviting pass from Simon Spender before lobbing the ball over onrushing Hayes & Yeading 'keeper Simon Overland.
The hosts had a number of chances to put the game to bed but they failed to capitalise on their dominance.
And they were made to pay for the wastefulness in front of goal as Hayes & Yeading drew level in the 81st minute through Esmond James.
Adam Green sent in a cross from the left wing and James was on hand to finish from close range to level the scores.
In fact, the visitors could have snatched all three points a the death but striker Steve Basham saw his headed effort hit the crossbar.
Barrow bookings: Nelthorpe.
Hayes & Yeading bookings: None.
Referee: Billy Khatib (Tyne & Wear).
Attendance: 1,164.
