Barrow joint-manager Darren Sheridan
Barrow managed to secure a share of the spoils with Grimsby Town at Holker Street despite being reduced to ten men late in the second half.
Liam Hearn fired the Mariners ahead in the 10th minute before Adam Boyes leveled for the hosts on 21 minutes. Grimsby reclaimed the lead in the 73rd minute through Scott Garner and two minutes later Barrow's Kelvin Lomax saw red for a foul on Michael Coulson.
Despite being a man down, Barrow went on snatch a valuable equaliser when substitute Joseph Jackson finished from close range on 90 minutes.
The Mariners started brightly in a rain-swept Holker Street and claimed the lead on 10 minutes when Hearn latched onto a through ball from Andy Thanoj before firing past the onrushing Shaun Pearson from 18 yards.
Anthony Elding had two good great chances to double Grimsby's lead shortly after the opener, but he failed to hit the target with both efforts.
Barrow almost drew level in the 19th minute but Adam Boyes' powerful shot struck the post.
Bluebirds were not to be denied and drew level on 21 minutes, however, when Boyes converted a Jack Mackreth cross with a close-range volley.
Efforts from Andy Nicholas and Danny Hone went close for the hosts, while at the other end of the pitch, goalkeeper Shaun Pearson did well to deny Grimsby skipper Craig Disley on 41 minutes.
With the scores tied at 1-1 both sides looked to grab the lead early in the second period and Grimsby finally managed to do so in the 73rd minute when an unmarked Scott Garner headed in Michael Coulson's inviting free-kick.
And Grimsby looked to be firmly in the driving seat when Lomax was given his marching orders just two minutes later for a challenge on Michael Coulson.
However, it was Barrow who had the last say as substitute Jackson popped up in the 90th minute to covert Boyes' cross with a finish from inside the six-yard box.
