Worcester boss signs new deal

Blue Square South side Worcester City have revealed that manager Richard Dryden and his assistant Carl Heeley have signed contract extensions at the club.

39-year-old Dryden has signed a new deal which keeps him at St George's Lane until the end of the 2009/10 season, while Heeley stays on as his assistant after having his rolling contract renewed.

Worcester have seen their form falter in the past few weeks and Dryden is intent on getting his charges back to winning ways after securing his future.

He told Worcester News: "The results have not been great in the last month but we are trying to build foundations to keep the club going and we are having a go on quite a low budget.

"The board appreciate what Carl and I are doing and hopefully we can push the club forward.

"The directors asked me around six weeks ago about a new contract and talks have been ongoing.

"It's just nice to get it over and done with and concentrate on the football side."
