Kassam Stadium
A brace from Matthew Green helped Oxford United to a deserved three-points against Histon at Kassam Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The home side started the brighter of the two side's and took a deserved lead in the 33rd minute.
Green was the man on hand to volley home from close range after Matt Day had set him up.
Michael Howard made it 2-0 seconds before half-time when he drilled a left-footed into the top of the net from 18 yards out.
The second-half was a similar affair to that of the first-half as the home side dominated from start to finish.
Green deservedly grabbed his second of the game in the 82nd minute when he rose highest to head an Eddie Hutchinson headed pass into the back of the net.
