Hudson: Bagged a brace

Aldershot 3-1 Histon

Aldershot Town further strengthened their position at the top of the Blue Square Premier table with a comfortable win over Histon on Tuesday night.

The league leaders made light of the absence of top scorer John Grant and drew first blood after 11 minutes thanks to a 25-yard effort from Scott Davies.

They were cruising after half an hour when Kirk Hudson doubled their advantage with a left-footed effort from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

The Stutes pulled one back on the hour mark when Antonio Murray placed a left-footed shot in the bottom-left corner from the centre of the penalty area.

However, their hopes of playing for a draw were dashed shortly after as Hudson popped up again to complete his brace with an 18-yard strike.

Aldershot bookings: Gier 67, Hylton 68.

Histon bookings: Wright 38.

Ref: W Barrett.

Att: 2177.
