The 2103 supporters at The Glassworld Stadium were treated to a fantastic game of high-energy football as the Blue Square Premier season drew to a close this Saturday.
At times it was easy to forget that neither side had anything to play for as they scrapped for all three points. Histon took the lead on two occasions but were twice pegged back and ultimately had to settle for a draw.
Jack Midson opened the scoring with a headed goal from Rob Nightingale's inswinging corner after just 15 minutes but it wasn't long before Stuart Fleetwood netted his 32nd goal of the season to level matters 10 minutes later with a well-hit volley.
Histon were 2-1 up a further 10 minutes into the game as Nightingale found the target himself this time from Midson's cross but Darren Jones spoiled the party for Histon as he headed in Alex Lawless' cross to claim a share of the points.
