Histon v Oxford United

Steve Fallon's Histon play host to Oxford United at the Glassworld Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to pick up their second win of the season.

Both sides have made solid starts to the campaign in picking up four points from their opening two encounters. Histon will look to capitalise on their home ground advantage and put one over the visiting Yellows.

The Stutes have doubts over the fitness of John Kennedy and Neil Andrews which could result in either Craig Pope of Jamie Barker deputising in the centre of midfield.

While Fallon is confident that his side can handle the inevitable threat of an attack-minded Oxford side, he is not under any false pretences about the task at hand.

"Oxford have five or six who are all very good attacking players so if you see off the first two or three they can bring two or three more on." he told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire

"We'll be tested defensively, but we've been up to the mark in the past two games and we're pleased with how the back-four is performing," he added.

Oxford are in the fortunate position of having a fully fit squad to choose from as Jamie Constable has recovered from his injury.

After extensively chopping and changing his side for the first two games of the season, Chris Wilder has no ambitions of shelving his squad rotation policy.

"There are different ways of looking at it in terms of the season or individually and I have my own thoughts. I have discussed it with the coaching staff and Jim and in this league I think it is unique because you have different challenges," he told Oxfords' official website.

"Sometimes it is right for certain players, and certain styles. That is how we will approach every game. We have options on the bench to change things if we need to but we will always look to get a positive result, especially away from home," he said
