Moss Lane

Altrincham v Histon

Tied-table-toppers Altrincham play host to Histon at Moss Lane in Blue Square Premier action on Tuesday night.

While The Robins secured their second victory of the season on Tuesday night The Stutes went down in a seven-goal thriller to Oxford United.

Graham Heathcote's men have new injury concerns over both Danny Heffernan and Dale Johnson who picked up injuries in their victory over Hayes & Yeading and are doubtful for Tuesday's encounter. Goalkeeper Stuart Coburn is expected to shake off his knock and be fit for the league clash.

Histon are seething after going down in front of their home fans to rivals Oxford United. Above and beyond the defeat they will now have to do without Danny Naisbitt for three games after his dismissal on Saturday evening. Reserve goalkeeper Joe Welch is expected to deputise for Nasbitt.

There is however some positive news prior to the clash as John Kennedy and Neil Andrews should shake off their respective injuries in time to face Altrincham. New loan signing Ben Farrell, from Cambridge United, was expected to put pen-to-paper and should also be cleared in time to play for his new side.

Stutes boss Steve Fallon is aware of the threat that Altrincham pose to his side but feel that his troops are up for the crucial league match.

"Altrincham have won two and drawn one of their three matches so far, scoring six goals and conceding two," he told Cambridge news online.

"We've got to make sure we pick ourselves up. One or two looked tired and we need to make sure we're ready for it," he added
