Cambridge United will be aiming to further distance themselves from the relegation zone when local rivals Histon visit Abbey Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

U's boss Martin Ling is set to stick with Kevin Roberts at right-back despite Dan Gleeson's return from illness.

Welshman David Partridge is struggling to overcome a thigh injury, meaning that Josh Coulson is set to keep his place in defence.

Striker Callum Willock is rated doubtful because of an ankle injury and will face a late fitness test.

Looking ahead to the clash, Ling told Cambridge News: "The two games they've had without the contract rebels they've picked up four points, so it doesn't look like it's damaged them too much in terms of the league.

"But when you're losing up to seven players out of the starting XI who you see as the future because you've offered them a contract, it can only help the team you're playing against."

Histon are expecting to welcome on-loan striker Andy Pugh back to the fold following a knee injury.

Nathaniel Knight-Percival is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up after agreeing a new contract.

However, Danny Wright, Danny Naisbitt, Lanre Oyebanjo, Bradley Hudson-Odoi and Joe Welch will not be utilised with their respective contractual situations yet to be clarified.

Histon boss Alan Lewer said: "If you don't look forward to derbies in front of 5,000 people then you shouldn't be in the game.

"We're going there with a younger element in our squad that have never played in an atmosphere like that before, so from their point of view it's a massive game."
