Danny Kedwell
Danny Kedwell and Ricky Wellard struck in injury time as AFC Wimbledon dramatically edged 10-man Histon 2-0 at Kingsmeadow on Tuesday night.
With the game seemingly stuttering to a goalless draw, the hosts were offered a gap when Oluwafemi Ilesanmi was booked for the second time with just nine minutes remaining.
Terry Brown's men surged forward and were rewarded when Kedwell was felled in the box by Remy Clerima in the first minute of added time. Kedwell, who netted 20 times in the Blue Square Bet Premier last term, made no mistake from the spot - much to the home crowd's obvious delight.
He was involved again shortly after when he set up Wellard who buried the chance from close-range to secure the points.
The result leaves the unbeaten Wombles second on the table behind Luton, while the Stutes slip to 13th with their first loss of the campaign.
AFC Wimbledon bookings: None
Histon bookings: Ilesanmi (23, 81) sent off.
