Kevin Sandwith
Defender Kevin Sandwith believes Blue Square Premier new-boys Weymouth have 'nothing to fear' and are working towards a successful season.
The 32-year-old former Chester City player admits he has been quite impressed by the Terras pre-season training sessions.
And after turning down a contract to remain in League Two with the Blues, Sandwith feels his new teammates have the ability to help the club regain their Football League status.
He told This Is Weymouth: "The manager John Hollins and his assistant Alan Lewer are both brilliant and great to work for.
"I have actually known Alan for ten years. I played for him at Telford United for a season and we have kept in touch ever since.
"I get on with him really well and alongside John, who has a wealth of experience in the game, it should be good.
"We certainly have nothing to fear. We have a squad of fit, strong lads who have a lot of ability so hopefully it will be a successful season."
"The work we did last week with Sergeant Major Stef Collins was a good shock to the system and once the lads got into it, it was really enjoyable and rewarding. We have a brilliant bunch of players here.
"Everyone is getting on very well and it is nice to have that feel around the place so early on.
"There is also a good mix. We have a lot of young lads that are trying to push on and will hopefully get in League football one day.
"They have certainly got the ability to, they just need to find a high level of consistency and it will be up to us older lads to help them do that and point them in the right direction."
