Crawley 2-2 Eastbourne

Eastbourne Borough came from behind twice against Crawley Town to earn a point on Boxing Day.

Charles Ademeno gave the hosts an early lead before Liam Enver-Marum equalised with Glenn Wilson then putting his side back into the lead with Jamie Taylor ensuring a share of the spoils with his second half goal.

Town started their day off with the perfect start when Ademeno latched onto a ball from Lewis Killeen before cutting inside to beat keeper Danny Knowles from a difficult angle.

Mikey Malcolm then tested the keeper on 15 minutes with a header on target that Knowles did well to push onto the crossbar.

But just three minutes later it was Eastbourne, who found the target with Simon Johnson feeding Enver-Marum, who himself finished from an acute angle.

Crawley were back in the game just three minutes later however, when Wilson got his head to a Malcolm corner.

The Reds began to dominate play with Killeen setting up Ben Smith, whose shot hit the underside of the crossbar before Killeen hit the post from outside the area on the half hour mark.

Despite ending the half the stronger of the two sides, it was Eastbourne, who made the immediate impact after the break.

Enver-Marum's tricky run ended in a goalscoring opportunity for Taylor, who finished easily under very little pressure from the Crawley defence.

Eastbourne continued to be a threat with Taylor forcing a save from Simon Rayner before Enver-Marum saw his shot deflected onto the top of the goal.

But neither side were able to find the goal to separate the two sides as they settled for a hard-fought draw.
