Eastbourne Borough will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when Steve Evans' Crawley Town make the trip to Priory Lane on Friday afternoon.
The Sports currently find themselves hovering just above the dreaded drop zone with a tally of 22 points from 25 games.
They held Crawley to 2-2 draw at Broadfield Stadium on Boxing Day and will be hoping their home advantage gives them the edge over the Red Devils.
Crawley boss Steve Evans will have to make do without the services of Chris Giles, Max Lake-Edwards and Danny Forrest for the New Year's Day clash.
Evans told his club's official website: "Eastbourne Borough are a decent side with good players and we saw that in the second half of our match with them on Boxing Day.
"I know my starting team for the match and the system we will adopt on the day but at this stage that remains confidential.
"I expect it to be a competitive match but they all are in The Blue Square Premier.
"We are tenth in the league table and our only objective at present is to try and be ninth or above as soon as possible. By the end of January if we are within six points of the play off places and if we have kept hold of our better players it could all get very exciting but that little word 'if' is a very big word indeed.
"At present we sit eight points off the playoffs and have big clubs like Kidderminster and Rushden around us and even more remarkably we are ahead of both Wrexham and Cambridge United."
