Eastbourne Boro 0-2 Crawley Town

Crawley Town picked up another three points with a 2-0 New Year's Day win over derby rivals Eastbourne Borough.

Charles Ademeno and Glenn Wilson netted the first half goals in what was a particularly abject performance from struggling Boro.

Crawley picked up seven points from a possible nine this festive period with Boro's only point coming in the Boxing Day draw with the Reds.

Ademeno gave his side an early lead after just three minutes when he reacted first to a loose ball after Boro keeper Danny Knowles could only parry Michael Malcolm's shot into his path.

It was 2-0 after 31 minutes as Wilson netted from close range after the home defence failed to clear Malcolm's corner.

Liam Enver-Marum was only the only Eastbourne player to come close to scoring when his shot was acrobatically palmed onto the crossbar by Simon Rayner.

Crawley Town are well placed for a play-off push in 10th with 38 points from their 27 games while Boro are just one point and one place above the relegation zone in 20th.
