Histon solidified their promotion credentials after coming from behind to beat 10-man Farsley Celtic at Throstle Nest on Saturday afternoon.
Farsley were awarded a penalty in the 7th minute when Erkan Okay was adjudged to have fouled Amjad Iqbal in the area.
Stephen Downes stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and made no mistake, coolly slotting his right-footed effort straight down the middle.
The Stutes drew level 15 minutes later when Nathaniel Knight-Percival headed in an Adrian Cambridge cross at the left-hand side of the penalty area.
Antonio Murray doubled their lead just three minutes later with Daniel Wright setting him up with an inviting cross from the right by-line.
Iqbal did his side no favours in the 70th minute when he received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
That closed the curtains on Farsley's hopes of drawing level and Histon put the final nail in the coffin in the 80th minute thanks to a cool finish from Antonio Murray.
