Farsley Celtic 0-0 Stevenage

Stevenage fluffed a golden opportunty to close the gap on Blue Square Premier League leaders Aldershot when they were held to a goalless draw by relegation candidates Farsley Celtic.

Amazingly, it was the home side that created the better openings in the first half with Damian Reeves having only the keeper to beat when he sent his shot wide of goal.

Reeves was again denied when Stevenage's Mark Arber made a telling block before keeper Alan Julian proved his worth with a stunning save from James Knowles' overhead kick.

Farsley keeper Curtis Aspden was also kept busy and he did well to keep out Steve Morison's shot in the second half.

Farsley Celtic bookings: None

Stevenage bookings: Bramble, Vincenti, Fuller.

Attendance: 501

Referee: G Sutton (Lincolnshire).
