Jimmy Quinn
Farsley Celtic enhanced their chances of survival with a morale-boosting win over Jimmy Quinn's Cambridge United at Throstle Nest on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors fashioned perhaps the better of the first-half chances but it ended goalless nonetheless.
Cambridge finally broke the deadlock in the 51st minute when Lee Boylan tapped in at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.
However, Celtic rallied and drew level in the 64th minute thanks to a well-placed header by Damien Reeves from six yards out.
The visitors looked to be reeling from the equaliser and Farsley capitalised by grabbing the lead four minutes later.
Cambridge's Ben Farrell fouled Simeon Bambrook on the left-hand by-line and Dominic Krief slotted the resulting spot kick into the top-right corner.
Farsley bookings: Jackson 59.
Cambridge bookings: None.
