Farsley 4-2 Weymouth

Farsley Celtic lifted themselves out of the dreaded drop zone with a morale-boosting victory over fellow strugglers Weymouth on Saturday afternoon.

What makes this victory even more impressive, is the fact that the Villagers twice came from behind to win the contest with a two-goal cushion.

The Terras clinched the lead after 11 minutes thanks to Tony Bedeau's 18-yard finish and Farsley drew level in the 37th minute through Roy Stamer's 12-yard effort.

Simon Weatherstone restored Weymouth's lead in the 54th minute only for Farsley's David McNiven to restore parity in the 67th minute with powerful headed goal.

The hosts claimed the lead for the first time in the 75th minute after Mark Jackson slotted home an inswinging corner kick at the centre of the penalty area.

They further extended their lead just minutes before the final whistle as Damien Reeves pounced on a loose ball and poked the ball in from six yards.
