Adam Murray
Oxford United ran rampant past a toothless Halifax Town to edge closer to a Blue Square Premier play-off place at the Shay stadium.
Darren Patterson's charges had limited opportunities to score, but made their chances count.
Adam Murray opened the scoring for the visitors after referee M Matadar pointed to the spot following a foul on Justin Richards by goalkeeper Adam Legzdins.
Murray made no mistake from the spot and sent a low, powering spot-kick past the Halifax stopper.
The scores remained 1-0 to Oxford going into the break and the Yellows continued their dominance in the second-half.
Justin Richards added the second after 57 minutes and to make matters worse for the hosts - the third and final blow was an own goal.
Santos Gaia hit the ball into the back of his own net on the 84-minute mark following an Oxford corner on the left taken by Murray.
