Tamworth v Oxford

Tamworth will be eager to halt Oxford's chase for the league title in order to move further away from the relegation zone.

The Lambs host Chris Wilder's second-placed side on Sunday and Iyseden Christie is confident his team-mates can do the double over the visitors.

"It's a massive game for us and we know it's a difficult one," he told the Tamworth Herald.

"But we are looking forward to it and will be going into it confident.

"We have already shown we can beat them, so we have to believe we can do it again.

"Obviously we need the points because we want to put to bed any concerns about getting dragged into a relegation battle as soon as possible.

"But they have plenty of pressure on them as they look for automatic promotion."

Chris Smith misses the clash for Tamworth through suspension along with Michael Blackwood (knee) and Nick Wright (foot).

Michael Briscoe (ankle) is a doubt while midfielder Gavin Hurren has joined Gateshead on a month-long loan.

Oxford, meanwhile, could welcome captain Adam Murray back into the fold. The skipper has recovered from a back injury and is set to return to the line-up while James Constable (ankle) and Alfie Potter (hamstring) face late tests.

"I'm just desperate to be involved, Constable told Oxford Times.

"It's been a tough few weeks, especially seeing how we've played and how the lads have trained.

"We are confident and just desperate to get back to winning ways and back on the run that we had until the snow and everything messed us up."

Oxford can move within one point of the summit if the record a win at the Lamb Ground.
