Salisbury skipper Aaron Cook returned to action when his side drew 0-0 with high-flyers Torquay at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium on Saturday.
The home side were without midfield duo Ian Herring and Luke Prince and forward Jamie Darron but remained on equal footing with the Gulls. Both teams created several chances with Salisbury's Matthew Robinson firing an early chance wide of the post from the edge of the box.
The Whites almost broke the deadlock with Welsh midfielder Michael Fowler heading just wide of the target when well placed in front of goal.
