Salisbury 2-0 Burton Albion

Salisbury put a dent in Burton Albion's play-off ambitions when they impressively saw off any threat they away side possessed by beating them 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The first-half was an evenly contested affair with both side's seemingly happy to wait for an opportunity to hit the opposition on the break.

The second-half, however, was a different story as the home side came out in search of goals.

The opener finally came for the hosts in the 70th minute when Michael Fowler rose highest to head Liam Feeney's corner into the back of the net.

The assault on Burton's goal did not end there, however, as the home side pushed for a second with two golden opportunities, but to no avail.

The second goal did come and it was Robbie Matthews who got it on 84 minutes.

The striker worked a good opening before firing a low drive into the back of the net to send the home fans into raptures.
