Altrincham 3-1 Salisbury

Altrincham staged an impressive comeback when they came from a goal down to beat Salisbury 3-1 at Moss Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors grabbed the lead in the 15th minute when Matthew Tubbs reacted quickest to pounce on a loose ball which he tapped home from close range.

The home side went in search of an equalising goal, but they could not break down the visiting defence before the break.

The second-half was a different kettle of fish for the Robins as they came out in a defiant mood. And that attitude paid off when Ryan Shotton equalised on 56 minutes.

The home side then took the lead just four minutes later.

Shotton grabbed his brace when he slotted a Chris Senior cross home.

And the three-points were sealed for the home side when Senior hit a stinging drive from 18 yards out into the back of the net.

The result moves Altrincham further away from the relegation zone, while Salisbury sit comfortably in mid-table.
