Racecourse Ground
Play-off hopefuls Wrexham played host to struggling Salisbury City at the Racecourse Ground in a game they would have expected to win.
Wrexham are trying to break into the promotion places at the top of the log whilst Salisbury seek to keep their heads above the choppy waters of the relegation zone.
The Dragons may have seen the fixture as a likely three points and would have felt confident of victory for much of the game.
After a delightful move, which involved Marc Williams and Jonathan Brown on the right wing, Ryan Flynn slotted home from six yards, giving Wrexham the lead in the 6th minute.
But after the break, and some strong words from Nick Holmes, Salisbury rallied.
In the 79th minute Wrexham keeper Gavin Ward was forced to parry a deep Matthew Tubbs cross and Charles Ademeno was on hand to head home.
To compound Wrexham's woes, Williams went off with what would appear to have been a broken foot.
"He's having an X-ray, hopefully it isn't broken but it doesn't look good," Wrexham manager Dean Saunders told BBC Sport Wales.
"If he's not right I'll have to go and get [a striker], maybe two.
"We started great and scored a good goal, but then we missed too many chances, there were probably 10 chances we should have scored from.
"We conceded a really easy goal, but if you don't finish teams off you give them hope. I'm gutted that we haven't won that game.
"We've gone up a place [in the table] which is good, and now we've got to put it right [away at Crawley Town] on Tuesday."
Wrexham Bookings: Curtis, Marc Williams, Fleming.
Salisbury Bookings: Ruddick.
Att: 3,206.
Ref: R Joyce (Yorkshire).
