Simon Grand
Northwich Victoria's fight against the drop took another blow with a 1-1 draw against Salisbury City at the Victoria Stadium on Tuesday night.
In a match where genuine goalscoring opportunities were few and far between, the home side managed to grab the lead in the 23rd minute.
Simon Grand hit the back of the net for the Vics after picking up a loose ball from a corner kick.
Both sides' profligacy in front of goal continued until the 55th minute, when the visitors managed to equalise.
Charlie Griffin was the hero for the visiting side with a neat finish.
The Vics rallied towards the end of the encounter, but they could not take the lead for the second time in the match.
The draw leaves the Vics 15 points adrift of safety, while City sit comfortably in mid table.
Northwich bookings: Byrom, Elam.
Salisbury bookings: Clarke, Pearce, Herring.
Attendance: 532.
Ref: A Halliday.

A new looking ground that has been further developed since it was first opened in 1997. The first thing that strikes you about the stadium is that it is sunken, meaning that you enter at the back of the stands and descend into it. | ||
