A last-gasp equaliser from Ebbsfleet defender James Smith earned the hosts a point against Salisbury City at Stonebridge Road on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors made a flying start to the game and should have claimed the lead in the opening five minutes but Matt Tubbs failed to hit the target after beating Ebbsfleet's offside trap.
The Whites continued to press forward in search of the opening goal but Tubbs and Darrell Clarke both saw their efforts blocked and cleared by the Ebbsfleet defence.
They finally got the breakthrough they were looking for in the 32nd minute when winger Robbie Sinclair latched onto a through ball from Charlie Griffin on the right flank and cut infield before unleashing a powerful effort into the bottom-right corner.
Liam Daish's side had a glorious opportunity to draw level just two minutes later but Luke Moore's effort from just outside the area went wide of the left-hand upright.
Salisbury threatened to extend increase advantage just before the break but Ian Herring and Tubbs were unable to beat Lance Cronin in the Fleet goal.
The hosts improved their performance after the half-time break and drew level in the 51st minute when Paul McCarthy met Stacy Long's corner with a header that evaded the reach of goalkeeper James Bittner.
Long and Michael West both missed the target for Ebbsfleet before Tubbs headed the visitors ahead with a close-range header in the 84th minute.
However, it was the home side who had the last say as Fleet's James Smith popped up with a vital header from inside the six-yard box in injury time to spare his side the blushes.
Ebbsfleet bookings: McCarthy.
