Salisbury 0-1 Gateshead

Gateshead picked up three points to move away from the relegation zone with their 1-0 win over Salisbury on Saturday.

The Tynesiders scored with just five minutes of the match remaining through Peter Winn to leave to leave the Whites in 17th place with 18 points from their 18 games.

In a match with limited chances for both sides it was Salisbury who looked more like scoring as Darrell Clarke tested keeper Paul Farman before Daniel Webb went agonisingly close with his effort from the edge of the box.

But in the end it was a solitary goal from Winn that sealed the points as he fired into the bottom corner of the net after being set up by Kris Gate.

Salisbury bookings: Webb, Oastler

Gateshead bookings: Curtis, Pelonde, Turnbull

Club Profile
A new looking ground that has been further developed since it was first opened in 1997. The first thing that strikes you about the stadium is that it is sunken, meaning that you enter at the back of the stands and descend into it.
