Crawley 2-0 Salisbury

Steve Evans' Crawley Town halted a two-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Salisbury City at Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The first-half offered little in the way of goalmouth action but Salisbury saw their chances of getting a result from this game take serious knock in the 45th minute when Jamie Turley was shown a straight red for a late challenge on Crawley's Adam Quinn.

The Red Devils took full advantage of their numerical advantage after the half-time break, claiming the lead in the 50th minute.

Charlie Ademeno saw his goal-bound effort cleared off the line and Ben Smith was the first to react, tapping in the rebound from six yards out.

Ademeno was twice denied thereafter, while Smith headed over the crossbar from Glenn Wilson's cross.

They finally doubled their advantage in the dying minutes of the game when Lewis Killeen - back in the side after a five-match absence - collected a pass from Ademeno before lashing the ball home to make it 2-0.

Crawley bookings: Quinn.

Salisbury bookings: Flood, Ruddick, Webb, Oastler.

Sent off: Turley (45).

Ref: Alun-Wyn Davies (Southampton).

Att: 603.

A new looking ground that has been further developed since it was first opened in 1997. The first thing that strikes you about the stadium is that it is sunken, meaning that you enter at the back of the stands and descend into it.
