Jon Main
Two goals from AFC Wimbledon striker Jon Main gave his side a valuable 2-0 win at struggling Salisbury City on Tuesday night to maintain their play-off push.
Wimbledon moved up to sixth place in the Blue Square Premier table after recording their third consecutive win, while Salisbury are now hovering four points above the drop zone after losing four on the trot.
The first half was quite a dull affair but the game livened up in the second period, when both goals game in the space of six minutes.
With 63 minutes on the clock, an unmarked Main was picked out by Lewis Taylor, who crossed from the right channel for the striker to head home.
Main the doubled his side's advantage in the 69th minute after running onto a perfectly weighted pass from Will Hendry and drilling a left-footed shot past the Salisbury goalkeeper.
