Salisbury 4-1 Altrincham

Salisbury notched up their fourth win on the trot with a 4-1 demolition job of Altrincham at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.

The Whites netted four goals in the space of eight minutes, including a Matt Tubbs brace, in a second-half blitz which sunk the Robins.

The first half failed to live up to expectations as both sides failed to create any clear-cut opportunities.

However, the game sprung to life shortly after the interval as a defensive blunder gifted Sean Clohessy the ball in the area and he made no mistake from right in front.

Two minutes later the home side doubled their advantage as Jake Reid drove the ball home after Tubbs' shot was blocked by a defender.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors just a minute later when another defensive mistake by the Robins gifted Tubbs his first of the evening.

The hitman then added a second five minutes later as he nodded home after finding himself unmarked in the area to make it 4-0.

Alty managed a consolation goal in the 90th minute as Chris Senior latched onto a Colin Little and fired home, but it proved to be too little too late.

A new looking ground that has been further developed since it was first opened in 1997. The first thing that strikes you about the stadium is that it is sunken, meaning that you enter at the back of the stands and descend into it.
